Feliz Navidad
These photos are a little late, but we had a pretty sick Christmas party at Spark a few weeks ago.
Katie showed up with some awesome eggnog and watermelon sangria.
Total ladies man.
While I'm talking this photo, Karen is taking booty shots. Seriously. See below.
?
John doesn't appreciate the girls photo shoot.
Ed doesn't mind.
Best gift ever.
Have you ever been spidermanned?
"Thank you uncle Symon."
Lurk mode.

F.O.R.E.
Slap's One in a million contest/show is definitely worth watching this year. It's got some sick skating from some unknown kids, who are competing to get flow sponsorship. One of the most entertaning parts is this kid Forest, who has the worst attitude ever. It's too bad he destroys this double set. 10 mini episodes are up on Slap's site, more are on the way....

this deck is warped...
Spanish artists Apparatu and Alex Trochut team up to develop “Skate Fails”, a series of ceramic works that distort the traditional skateboard into all sorts of interesting positions. Bent, broken, and even melting, the boards are plated with silver, gold, and aluminum, painted, and remade into works of art. A look into a few of the designs is offered below. Via Hypebeast.

Only for the money and the fame
Christina Aguilera is in town with this dude, and he made sure to get some RVCA gear from us so he could be looking fresh for the paparazzi. Not really sure what's up with the matching the other guys shirt though.

bangers
Emerica posted Heath Kirchart's videography on the website they dedicated to his career. This is his part from Sight Unseen...
You def can't skate that hard when you're 32. I guess it's better to burn out then to get faded or whatever. I bet he's gonna get back into destroying rental cars to pass the time.

WORLD PREMIERE
This year's most anticipated surf movie will premiere locally at Island Surf and Sport, Friday Nov 26 at 7:00pm.
"GoPro and WAX are proud to announce the locations of the world premieres of Innersection: Blue. The events will take place simultaneously in 26 cities around North America, Canada and Puerto Rico and many of the stops will be hosted by the athletes who's winning sections are featured in the film. The DVD will be distributed by WAX and will be available in stores late November.
Innersection: Blue has been in-the-making for the past year. Working with established filmmakers, pro surfers have pushed themselves to each build a 2-3 minute surf section, which they entered in the five Innersection contest rounds. During each round, registered Innersection members were asked to vote on their favorite sections to determine the top 25 that will make up the DVD.
After the final 25 sections were chosen, the athletes went back to their filmmakers edit bay's, and some even to their helicopters, to create all new sections for the final DVD. With Taylor Steele producing everything, Innersection has all the action of Campaign and Stranger, with and unexpected dose of art and soul. That's what happens when 25 directors each pour all their efforts and clips into a rock-solid 2-3 minute segment. There are more destinations than Sipping Jetstreams, more surfers than Stranger Than Fiction, and more talent than the World Tour.
Each DVD copy will have a unique code printed on a business card inserted in the package. Innersection members will be able to vote for which surfer has the best section. With $100,000 for the winner, it's going to be very competitive."

Haroshi x Nike Dunk
“The special edition Dunk was actually created from decks belonging to skaters from Nike’s own pro skate team and include boards from the likes of: P-Rod, Lance Mountain, Eric Koston, Brian Anderson, Cory Kennedy and many more. The pair is actually modelled on a pair of haroshi’s own well-worn shoes. These detailed shots, illustrate each of the creases, crimps and even the knotted laces worked into the sculptures. Interestingly the curvature of the decks accurately matches that of the used Dunk, which is portrayed as a hidden message within the art. A second subliminal message is found under X-ray scanning, where “Sole in soul” is revealed, making a pun the skate artwork that finds itself on the underside of the shoe.”
